Instructions for F-Secure Mobile Services Portal

This document quides you through the use of F-Secure Mobile Services portal. You should start with section A, which describes how you can take the portal into use as soon as you have received your personal username and password. The sections after A gives you more details on how to use the portal for managing your corporation F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus for Businesses licences.

A. Login for the first time
1. Enter the login name and password you have received to the portal.



2. Immediately after the first login, you will be prompted to change the password. The new password should contain 10-14 characters and we recommend that it contains numbers and characters. Please note that the following characters should not be used: % " ' < > ( ) \ = ? . You cannot change the user name.


 3. Please select "Contracts" to see the purchased licenses for your company.



4. You may choose to install F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus for Businesses by using a generic installation code for the whole company, or by using personal installation codes.
a. By using a generic installation codes all the users can use the same installation code. With the generic installation code the user names will be shown as "No name" in the portal.
b. By using personal installation codes you will also see the user information in the portal. For each user the installation code should be created before the installation. Please see section G 'Importing multiple users to the portal' for instructions on using .CSV files to import large number of users at the same time to the portal.

B. Creating a generic installation code for your company

The generic installation code for your company is shown under 'Subscription number'. You should give the installation code for the users in the exact format (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) to help the installation of F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus.

The license size (max licenses) defines how many devices the software can be installed with using the same installation code. After the limit is reached the same installation code cannot be used again without uninstalling the software from some of the already installed devices. In the event that you need to increase the size of your license, please contact your local F-Secure reseller.

C. Creating personal installation codes

1. Add a new user by pressing "Add New".



Type in the user information. Please note that you must give the phone number in international format with the country code, e.g. +49 xxx x xxx xxx. When the number is correctly inserted, the portal will send the unique installation code to the device with a short message (SMS). During the installation, F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus will automatically use the code from the SMS for the installation. The SMS message should not be removed from the device. If the number is correctly inserted the virus definitions can also be delivered with SMS messages directly to the mobile phone.

When you have inserted all the required fields, press OK to insert the data to the system.

2. Choose the user who's personal installation code you would like to see.



3. The 'Subscription number' is the personal installation code that the user should use for the software installation. If you did insert the mobile phone number in international format in the previous step the installation code should already be sent as an SMS message and you don't have to give the personal installation code to the user.

The license size defines to how many devices to which you can install the software with personal installation codes. After the limit is reached  the same installation code cannot be used again without uninstalling the software from some of the already installed devices. In the event that you need to increase the size of your license, please contact your local F-Secure reseller.

D. Downloading F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus

By selecting Downloads from the list you can download F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus or F-Secure Mobile Security for different devices types.





E. Installing F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus

After downloading the software to the mobile phone, start the installation program. If you have selected the usage of a personal installation code that you have created beforehand, the installation program will automatically use the activation code from the SMS message. If you have chose to use a generic installation code for your company, you should use that code for the installation. In order to activate the software you should use a connection method e.g. Internet. After activation the software will download the latest virus definition updates. The software will also perform a full system scan for viruses. After these steps the software is ready and will automatically update itself.
